Bacchus
The DiPinto Bacchus is the kind of guitar that turns heads – it’s hard to say whether it is better to look at or to play.
If a Gretsch is The Dukes of Hazzard, this guitar is Huggy Bear! It looks like a pimpmobile with the gloss black and white paintjob, mother-of-pearl detail and Grover Imperial style tuners, and plays the same way. It is a top class, professional standard guitar which sounds just a little bit sleazy and ‘street.’
It plays a lot like a Tennessee Rose with the thinline hollow body but has a tone which is edgier and not quite so mellow. Pushed through a stompbox, this guitar can do anything from wah-wah funk to Aerosmith glam-blues to modern jazz. It is just so much fun to play, it’s unbelievable.
